DAY 01 CALICUT - THALASSERY
Arrival at Calicut. You are met and assisted at the Airport by GITC representative and transferred to Thalassery.

Thalassery, an old city in Kannur district of Kerala is one of the attractive places for history loving people. The place is decked with four rivers, hills, cliffs and long coastline. A 17th century Fort built by British East India Company to established its settlement on the Malabar Coast, stands as a testimonial to their colonial imperialism. Thalassery doesn’t have fine hotels, barring one beautiful home stay at AYISHA MANZIL.
Welcome drink; Dinner is an elaborate and special meal.

DAY 02 THALASSERY
Malabar region has always been rich in Spice and fresh Seafood and no other community makes better use of this natural bounty than the Muslims of the North Kerala.

After breakfast, visit to local market to purchase items for cooking demonstration. Lunch. Afternoon, presentation of ingredients and utensils used for cooking. Later, demonstration of preparation of Malabary Meat dishes followed by Dinner.

DAY 03 THALASSERY
After breakfast, guided tour of Cinnamon plantation and weaving centers, where you can see and buy exclusive cotton household linen & furnishing materials. Lunch. Later, visit local Beedi making units. (local cigarettes).
Evening, demonstration of preparation of Malabary Fish curry & Meat dishes followed by Dinner.
Overnight at the AYISHA MANZIL.

DAY 04 THALASSERY – VYTHIRI
After breakfast, check out and drive to Vythiri.
Located in Wayanad district, Vythiri is a picturesque and unexploited place in the northern high ranges of Kerala and is known for its history and legend. Rising 2600 ft. above sea level, Vythiri had been a retreat for English planters during colonial times. Check in at an eco friendly resort for 02 nights. The resort is constructed in a private forestland, specially designed to fit the natural landscape in perfect harmony with the surrounding flora & fauna.

DAY 05 VYTHIRI
Breakfast at the hotel. Full day at leisure / free to explore the resort and its surroundings.

DAY 06 VYTHIRI – CALICUT ++ COCHIN
Early morning, transfer to Calicut railway station to board train for Ernakulam. [PARASURAM EXP. 0845/1350 hrs].
An obscure fishing village that became the first European township in India, Cochin was shaped by the Portuguese, Dutch and later British. The result of these cultural influences is seen in the many examples of India-European architectures that still exist here. A city of peninsulas and islands, today it is Kerala’s commercial hub. Check in at hotel for 03 nights. Later, go for a short walk through the town visiting St. Francis Church, Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue & Chinese fishing nets.
Evening, watch seafood – cooking demonstration by chef of the seafood specialty restaurant, Fort Cochin followed by seafood dinner.

DAY 07 COCHIN
After breakfast, transfer to Nimmy’s Kitchen for a full day cookery demonstration.

Nimmy Paul, a professional cookery instructor offers food and hospitality to foreign guests. She teaches guests the nuances of traditional Kerala recipes. In keeping with the tradition of their families, they enjoy having guests and serving good food. Lunch at Nimmy’s Kitchen.
You are briefed about the recipes followed and utensils used. Today you can watch traditional Kerala Syrian Christian Cookery demonstration. Evening, elaborate spread out Dinner.

DAY 08 COCHIN – ALLEPPEY
After breakfast. Check out and proceed to Alleppey. On arrival, embark on a Houseboat for an overnight cruise through the backwaters of Kerala.
Watch the Paddy fields, village folk; relax on board hearing lullaby of the wind & waves. This mysterious strip of emerald green land is stuffed with endless miles of placid backwaters that appends to its charm. Houseboats, has Captain, 3 crews and one special Cook. Today, you will be served traditional Kerala Lunch & Dinner along with the local specialties – freshly caught pearlspot / similar fish & prawns. Relishing the traditional Kerala cuisine and dishes made out of local flavor!

You can take a halts in between to stretch your legs on the shore and try a bottle of fresh sweet toddy (liquor) from a local pub!

DAY 09 ALLEPPEY – COCHIN
On time transfer to Cochin airport to connect flight to onward destination.
