DAY 01 CALICUT
Arrival at Calicut. You will be greeted and assisted at the Airport by GITC representative and transferred to hotel. [22 Kms./ 1 hr]
Once the capital of the powerful Zamorins and a prominent trade and commercial centre, Calicut (Kozhikode) was the most important region of Malabar in the days gone by. Check in at hotel for 01 night. Enjoy the white sandy beach of the historic Kappad beach where Vasco da Gama, the first European to India landed in 14th century. Later, visit to Beypore, one of the prominent ports and fishing harbours of ancient Kerala, located on the banks of Chaliyar River famous for the construction of the Uru (the Arabian trading vessel), which boasts a tradition of almost 1500 years. Overnight at Kappad Renaissance.


 
 

DAY 02 CALICUT - VYTHIRI [65 Kms./ 2 ½ hrs]
After breakfast. check out and proceed to Vythiri.
Located in Wayanad district, this destination is a picturesque and unexploited place located in the northern high ranges of Kerala and is known for its history and legend. Rising 2600 ft. above sea level, Vythiri had been a retreat for English planters during colonial times. On arrival, transferred by jeep to a beautiful eco friendly resort. Check in at resort. The resort is constructed in a private forestland, specially designed to fit the natural landscape in perfect harmony with the surrounding flora and fauna. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at Rain Country Resort.

DAY 03 VYTHIRI
After breakfast, go for a day trip to Edakkal Caves.
Edakkal Caves are situated on Ambukuthi Hills about 45 Kms. from Vythiri. It has been formed due to a large split in a huge rock, and the resulting landscape represent the world's richest pictographic gallery of its kind. On the rock walls you can spot some interesting carvings, which represent human and animal figures and these carvings speak of a highly civilized settlement that spread here in the pre-historic ages. Afternoon, visit Sentinel Rock Waterfalls - locally known as Soochippara. This is a famous picnic spot as well as a trekking centre.

DAY 04 VYTHIRI – MUDUMALAI [80 Kms./ 3 hrs]
After breakfast, check out and drive to Mudumalai.
In the foothills of the Nilgiris, this 321 sq km park and the surrounding forest is the best place in Tamil Nadu for wildlife viewing. Endowed with a moderate climate and diverse geographical features, the park supports a remarkable variety of flora and fauna, making it a true paradise for wildlife. Part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve (3000 sq km), the reserve’s vegetation ranges from grasslands to semi evergreen forests, which is home to spotted deer, gaur, tiger, panther wild boar and sloth bear. Check in at resort. Afternoon, free to explore the resort and surroundings. Overnight at Jungle Hut.

DAY 05 MUDUMALAI - MYSORE [90 Kms./ 3 hrs]
After breakfast, check out and drive to Mysore.
Mysore was the political capital of the Wodeyar dynasty, which ruled the state of Karnataka for some 150 years till the independence of the country from the British. These kings were great patrons of art and culture and the princely state was the cultural capital of the South under the rule of the Wodeyars. Mysore is a city of palaces, gardens, shady avenues and sacred temples and retains some of the charm of the old world with its many institutions that propagate Carnatic Classical music and dance. Check in at hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at Regaalis.

DAY 06 MYSORE – SOMNATHPUR [35 Kms./ 1 hr one way]
After breakfast visit to Somnathpur, which is one of the most famous Hoysala Temples. The temple is in excellent condition, has frescoed exteriors with episodes from the epics.
Afternoon, sightseeing tour of Mysore covering Chamundi hill – a popular tourist and pilgrimage centre which is topped by the huge Chamundeswari temple; Maharaja's Palace; the magnificent three-storied structure which was once the residence of the erstwhile rulers of Mysore and biggest of its kind in India & Deva raja Market. Overnight at Regaalis.

DAY 07 MYSORE - BANGALORE [140 Kms./ 4 hrs]
After breakfast, check out and drive to Bangalore.
En route visit Srirangapatnam; the capital of the warrior King Hyder Ali & his son Tipu Sultan and Ranganathittu bird sanctuary. Bangalore, often referred to, as the ‘Garden City’ is known for it’s beautifully laid out parks and gardens, wide tree lined avenues and imposing buildings. The main attractions are Vidhana Soudha building – which houses both the State Legislature and the Secretariat; Cubbon Park and Museums, Lalbagh Botanical Gardens, Tipu Sultan’s Palace and Bull temple. Check in at hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at A.J.International.

DAY 08 BANGALORE
On time transfer to Bangalore Airport to connect flight for onward destination.
