DAY 01 COCHIN
On arrival at Cochin, you are greeted and assisted at the Airport / Railway station by GITC representative and transferred to hotel. One of the finest natural harbours on the Arabian Sea coast, Cochin, has been a port of call for foreign traders from early times. Its cosmopolitan character is reflected in the buildings and structures representing different regions of the world.

A city of peninsulas and islands, today it is Kerala’s commercial hub. Later proceed for sightseeing of Fort Cochin covering Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church, and Dutch Palace & Chinese Fishing Net.

DAY 02 COCHIN – MUNNAR
After breakfast, check out and drive to Munnar. A breathtakingly scenic, peaceful hill station covered with unending expanse of tea plantations, at an altitude ranging from 1600 to 1800 m above the sea level. This hill station was the favourite summer resort of European settlers for centuries. Sprawling tea plantations, picturesque towns, winding lanes and holiday facilities make this a popular resort town. Check in at hotel.

DAY 03 MUNNAR
After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing. Visit Eravikulam National Park, the natural habitat of the Ibex called Nilgiri Tahar. The slopes of the hills abound in all kinds of rare flora and fauna. Walk through the hills kissing the clouds, breathing the sweet smell of Tea. Any walk along the hills of the Munnar is very romantic and offers some breath taking view.

DAY 04 MUNNAR – PERIYAR
Check out from the hotel / resort, after breakfast, and take a spectacular drive to Thekkady through the valley of the Cardamom Hills. Periyar (Thekkady) Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the well-maintained wildlife sanctuaries of South India and is spread out over an area of 777 sq Kms. The splendid artificial lake formed by the Mullaperiyar dam across the Periyar River adds to the charm of the park. Check in at hotel upon arrival. Proceed for sightseeing of Periyar. Enjoy the fragrant spice plantations on a spice plantation tour, where you can touch, smell and taste almost all the spices seen across the world. In these private spice plantations you will see how the spices actually grow in their plant form. (Optional) Later in the evening go for a boating at Periyar Lake where you get chance to watch wild animals in their natural habitat.

DAY 05 PERIYAR – ALLEPPEY
After breakfast, check out and drive to Alleppey. On arrival, embark on a Houseboat for an overnight cruise up to Kumarakom. Cruise through the palm fringed canals; watch the paddy fields, village folk; relax on board hearing lullaby of the wind & waves. This mysterious strip of emerald green land is stuffed with endless miles of placid backwaters that appends to its charm. Cruise till 6 in the evening by then the houseboat halts in the lake for overnight stay.

DAY 06 COCHIN
Time to bid farewell. On time transfer to Cochin airport / railway station for your return journey.

o Overnight houseboat cruise (non air-conditioned) with three meals.
o All transfers and sightseeing as per the itinerary in non air-conditioned medium car.

EXCLUSIONS:
o Expenses of a personal nature such as hard/soft drinks, local guides, entrance at monuments, still/video camera fees at monuments, laundry, phone/fax, tips & gratuities and any items not specified above.
o Any meals, accommodation or services not mentioned in the itinerary, hotel list or ‘includes’ list.
o Flight / Train tickets. Any increase in fuel costs.
